Kristen Dalton was crowned Miss USA 2009 last night, April 19th where she just edged out Miss california, Carrie Prejan, and Miss arizona, Alicia-Monique Blanco.
Kristen is a singer dancer from North Carolina where her mother was Miss Carolina in 1982. Kristen now goes on to the miss universe 2009 which will take place in Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Interestingly enough the Bahamas have never hosting this Competition before and has never had a semi finalist in the tournament. She will be up against all the country Winners Like Miss Venezuela, Dayana Medoza who won Miss Universe 2008.
There will be over 80 countries and territories competing in Miss universe 2009 and it will be broadcast live on NBC.
In the Pagent all the contestants worked the stage in striking white bikinis that were designed by none other than Jessica Simpson's Swimwear Line.
Most of the contestants ended up wearing the usual White Gowns but Kristens' was a striking Turquoise Gown which stood out among the number of other white gowns.
Kristen now moves on to the Bahamas where American Contestants have not been lucky in the past as they have struck out in the Evening Gown part of the contest.
I am sure we will all be supporting Kriten Dalton on August the 23rd and will be cheering her on to hopeful success and we wish her all the best and hopefully she can bring the crown of Miss Universe back to American Soil.
